FUNDERS
Many people and many funding sources come together to provide support for the Bloomingdale Family
Program. Government funding provides for basic classroom costs and for food service.
We rely on private foundations and individual donors to pay the cost of Bloomingdale's
services to children with special needs and for many program necessities.
Recent contributions to Bloomingdale are making it possible for us to renovate the worn
outdoor play area at our Columbus Avenue site and to send eight special needs children
to a three-week therapeutic summer camp. We are currently seeking funds to replace the
program's aging and unreliable computers with new and networked computers needed to
maintain program records and monitor children's progress. We are also seeking funds for
outdoor play equipment and a safety surface at our 109th Street facility.
